My first Digital layout

My two younger grandsons really got into the spirit of their costumes this year!!  Now don't be too impressed with the layout, it isn't mine LOL.  This was a free layout from My Memories suite, I was really just seeing how to post to my blog.

First simple page using the My Memories Suite digital software

Halloween Treat holders

So now that all the little beggars (LOL) have gotten their candy, the porch light is out and the candy dish empty I will get to post the treat holders I made, with help from my daughter for the grandkids and one little neighbor girl.

Pillow box from Easter 2010, white cardstock and I stamped the images all over the paper before I cut. I don't know the size, I used my Gypsy and was able to get 4 to a 12x12 mat

This little orange guys are actually two tags glued together on the bottom, candy in the middle and tied with a ribbon

I saw these on facebook.  Someone had posted their first video tutorial, sorry can't remember who right now.  So I tried it and  it was so easy I decided to make them.

In total I had to make 132 treat holders.  I had a few left over so I took them to work for the ladies in my office.

Thanks for stopping by and happy scrappin!

Action Wobbles Blog Hop day #2!!

Welcome back my crafty, wobbly friends!  So glad you decided to stop by for our second day of the action wobbles blog hop hosted by Haidee.  If you didn't start at Haidee's blog, you need to start over from there!  You have just left Martha's wobbly project!

For today's project I made a tag that wobbles.  Using my Gypsy I cut two tags from the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge, one just slightly smaller then the other.  I then inked both tags in pink.  I punched out some dragonflies from various scraps and heat embossed them.  I adhered two flowers, added the dragonflies and a little stickles bling.  After putting a ribbon through the eyelet and a little feather for added texture I adhered the smalled tag to it's layer with the Action Wobble and tada!

I tried to shoot a video, but unfortunately my camera did side shots and when I rotated it became all grainy.  I guess I will learn how to use our actual video camera LOL.   Remember to comment both days in order to be entered in my blog candy give away.  Didn't know there was blog candy??  Well check out my post yesterday to see what you get!  Now it's time to shake wobble and roll over to Alina!
thanks for hopping and happy scrappin!!

Action Wobbles blog Hop Day #1

Whoo hoo, if you haven't seen these before you don't know what you're missing.  These little gizmos make all your projects come to life!!  I especially like using them for children because they can't stop playing with them.

Hi and welcome to the action wobbles two day blog hop hosted by the ever cheerful Haidee.  I will have two different projects, one for each day of the hop and blog candy to the one lucky winner who comments on each project.  If you have wobbled over from Martha'ssite then you are going in the right direction.

My project for today is an altered frame.  I picked three frames up from Michael's for $2.  I have never altered a frame before so I was excited to try this.

I painted the top and bottom of this frame and then separated the colors with ribbon and bling!  The "Drama Queen" cut is from Rock Princess and is mounted on an Action Wobble!  I added some Black Diamonds Stickles to it for a little extra shine!  Put a couple little bows from Offray on the corners and voila my frame was complete!

Now on to the blog candy!   Leave a comment and a way for me to contact you if you win!!  Good luck, thanks for stopping by and always, Happy Scrappin!

School stickers, coordinating papers and brads and of course a couple Action Wobbles to get you addicted!!

Halloween Blog Hop

HAPPY HALLOWEEN !!!

You are at stop 7 on this 20 spot blog hop!  You should have flown over from Gina's blog.  Welcome and I hope you are enjoying yourself so far!  I love Halloween and can hardly wait for it to get here (really the only reason for SUMMER to end for me).  I love seeing all the neighborhood kids dressed up and running up and down the street.  I play scary music and decorate the yard. (That's a big deal for me as I only decorate outside twice, for Halloween and Christmas.  It's cold  here in Illinois LOL)

For my contribution to Ashley's Halloween Hop I have made a cute photo frame.

I picked up this frame, and two others, at Michael's, for $3.  Yep, 2 for 3! First I painted the frame white.  They come natural wood and although I like the color of wood I was afraid the paper wouldn't adhere to it.  I then covered it in paper from K & company Specialty Paper pack.  I've had this paper for quite awhile so I don't even know if it's still available.  Using the same paper I cut the scarecrow out and blinged him up a bit with stickles and raffia and pop dotted him and the little crow to the outside of the frame.   I can't want for my grandkids to dress up this halloween so I can put their photo in there!

For my second project I made a Halloween card. But to be honest I am in an Action Wobbles blog hop tomorrow so I made this card for that hop and then remembered there were color limitations, so I figured I would post it here because it fits the theme!! And maybe that will peak your interest and you will stop tomorrow to see both of those projects made with action wobbles!!!

All images cut from the Happy Hauntings cart and they all wobble like they are dancing.  The inside of the card reads
"Party like you're Monster Mashed!"  Isn't that cute??!!

Don't forget Ashley is giving away a $50 gift card to one lucky winner who comments and follows each blog in this hop!!!

Sympathy cards

Hello all!  Today I had to make two sympathy cards for co-workers who lost family members.  I used the same colors and cuts, but made them a little different.  The butterfly was cut at 2" from the Ashlynn's Alphabet cart, which was the first cartridge I bought at a Black Friday Wal-Mart sale years ago and don't really use very often.

I used basic A2 card bases and re-folded one into a gate fold.  I covered the inside entirely so you can't tell from the inside.  I embossed both butterflies.  The second butterfly I really like how it turned out, it is much prettier in person.  I cut the second butterfly from the same pattern paper I used for the base.  I then used the "stencil" part of the cut so I would know where the image would cut on the paper and inked over the pattern paper and also added accents in yet a second shade of ink.  I then embossed both butterflies with clear embossing powder three times to add some weight to them.  I don't have the extra thick embossing powder (yet) so I used extra layers and it works similarly.  Everything was inked in a dark purple for some highlights.
