Christmas Bags & tags

I made these gift bags and tags for a couple of crafty friends!  The penguin is cut from Create-a-Critter and I believe the snowflakes are cut from the snowflakes cartridge (used my Gypsy so I don't pay attention to the cartridge names too much anymore!  This is the first year at trying to make tags, I actually made about 2 dozen but forgot to take pictures of all of them before passing them out (darn!)  I did have these gifts still home so I took some quick pics!

Thanks for looking.

Glass etching "boop"

My favorite has to be these though, four cereal or soup bowls etched in the bottom with the face of Betty Boop and her slogan "boop oop a doop" etched separately on the bowls....

Glass etching mugs

The next is beer mugs that I turned into rootbeer float mugs...

Glass Etching

I haven't posted for awhile because I've been working on some Christmas gifts.  I've finally gotten all of them done and decided to post a few here.

This is my first attempt at glass etching.  I used SCAL, my Cricut and even my Gypsy to design the patterns for these.  The first is wine glasses and I etched them with "Hailey Vineyards"

It's was really hard to get the etching to show up without any type of glare, so I hope you can see everything.

Halloween Project

Haven't posted in awhile because I haven't entered any challenges. I've been working on some projects I needed to get finished.  This one is for the grandkids to pass out in school for their Halloween parties, and with four grandkids in school it took 144 candy bars to get this one finished!  I used candy bars within the same size, hersheys, Nestle crunch and Nestle cookies n creme.  I cut each wrapper at 6x6 and used a 1/2" scallop punch to cut the "bite" mark on top.  Most of the halloween figures are from happy hauntings, but I also found some easy cuts on Paperdoll Dress up, Doodlecharms and Stretch Your Imagination.  I think I have a pic of each of the different designs.  Thanks for looking...

The challenge was to make a Halloween card using the card feature from any cartridge.

All the trick-or-treaters were cut from Paperdoll Dress-up. "Happy Halloween" stamp is from the $1 bin at Michael's.

Throwback Thursday challenge #93

This is a card for my grandson's 10th birthday. The challenge at Creative Time for Me was to use any
older cartridge.  Well the skateboard hanging in the center is from Everyday paper dolls, the first cartridge I ever bought. This is a tri-folder or shutter fold card.  It's very busy because, after all my grandson is 10 now (a 'tween) and the card had to be 'cool'!

Peachy Keen Challenge #36 & Cardztv challenge - Halloween

This is my card entry for two different challenges and it was a challenge!
First, the Peachy Keen challenge was color combo & sketch.  The colors needed to be cobalt, melon and daffodil, along with a specific sketch to follow. Then I decided to also do Mary's challenge over at CardzTV, which was anything halloween.  So I came up with this trick or treating mouse. I think because the daffodil was so light I didn't like how plain it looked so Gloria suggested I emboss something to give it texture and she was right, it did add something.  Thanks Gloria!

This is my card for the Cricut card Challenge #40, using a scalloped image, circle, square etc,
This is a joy fold card (learned from Mary @ cardztv)
I used the happy hauntings cartridge...
I reversed my scallop and used 1/2 circle scallop as "bite marks" on the corners

The little ghost is on an eyelet and he swings back and forth to keep the card closed

Weekend Project

This is how I spent the better portion of my weekend, making 25 invitations for a party my daughter is having.  Saturday afternoon she comes over and says she needs invitations for a party, no idea what she wants, other then "summery" and not like a luau.  Ok, not to hard, then she says I need 25 and I want to mail them Monday morning!  (Ya gotta love your kids right?!)  So half of Saturday was spent occupying the grandkids and coming up with a layout.  About 8:45 we run out of tape for the gun and make a quick ($30 of stuff) run to Wal-Mart because everyone else is closed already.  Finally on Sunday night we are finished.
Everything but the watermelon was cut from Life's a beach, the watermelon is from Doodlecharms.  Can't tell you the paper (thank goodness for CHA early) because we were just going through everything I had to pick the colors.  It was a fun weekend though.

Rock star LO

My 3 yr old grandson LOVES playing Rock Band ..he does it all, sing, guitar & the drums!  It's amazing what these little ones can do now!

I must have been kissing toads because until I met you I didn't feel like a princess!

This is my "princess" themed card for Emma's Thursday Throwback challenge.
The inside of the card reads
"I must have been kissing toads because I didn't feel like a princess until I met you!"
I used the Sweethearts cart and Once upon a time paper from DCWV.

Day 1

I've decided to try my hand at creating a blog just because I want to participate in Emma's (at creativetimeforme.com) weekly challenges.
