Scraps to Treasures May Blog hop - monochromatic scheme

Hi! This is Liz and I want to welcome you to the Scraps To Treasure Team's Monochromatic Blog Hop. Our goal at STT is to use up all our scraps and leftover embellishments to create wonderful layouts, cards and other projects. This month we are doing that using different shades of only one color. Up for grabs is this RAK from our hostess, Paula at http://preciouspagesbypaula.blogspot.com that will be going out to one lucky hopper that is a follower of all the blogs in the hop and has left a comment for each entry.

 Included in the RAK are:
10 My Mind's Eye Laundry Line Diecuts
2 Basic Grey Bling It On Rubons and Rhinestones
 2 Glitz Frosting Bling
 1 Martha Stewart Glitter Alphas
 1 EK Success Inspirables Embellishments
 1 Special Moments Embellishments
 1 Treasured Memories Metal Tags

For my entry I opted to create a birthday card.  One of my grandsons turned 8 yesterday so I used this event to plan my card!.  I used one of his favortie colors - BLUE.

The hippo & phrase are from the Cricut Cartridge Birthday Bash

Does the pic look a little fuzzy or just the hippo?

That's because he's on a wobble !!

I hope that you have enjoyed stopping by and seeing my card and now you are ready to move on through the following blogs and view more great monochromatic creations!!

Krazy Crafting Crew May Blog Hop

Where ever you go you see a banner whether you are driving down the main street of town and there is some festival going on, or a birthday party or on cards and layouts.
So this month the Krazy Crafting Crew is going to show you all different kinds of banners they have made for fresh ideas, maybe birthdays, weddings and more.
I am your hostess today and thank you for joining us!

This month is so many birthdays for my family, mine, my oldest son's, my grandson's and my wonderful husband's!  My hubby is turning 50 this year and we are planning a party so I made a banner as one of the decorations.  Of course it has to be yellow and black because he is obsessed with that color combo.  I used my silhouette cameo and planned all the pieces in one project, grouping all the shapes of the same color on a mat, this made it so easy to get it cut.

Here's all the pieces cut
Happy 50 Birthday! all strung together

I added a little more color to the white letters
but adding yellow and black liquid pearls

I hope you have enjoyed my project!
Your next stop is with JEARISE
Thanks so much for hopping with us and as a thank you I want to offer you a chance to win some blog candy.  All you need to do is make sure you hop through our entire happy hop and comment on each blog.  One lucky hopper will win this Cricut Lite Playtime cartridge!  Sorry due to shipping costs I can only offer to ship to U.S. addresses.

Thanks for stopping by and happy scrappin!

Scraps to Treasures Fancy Fold Card

526466_625150007498408_920459330_n

Welcome
Welcome to the Scraps to Treasure’s Blog Hop. We are independent bloggers who love to craft like crazy and show it all off, crafters from the sister group the “Krazy Crafting Crew”, and even more crafters have joined this open group to bring you many ideas on what to do with those crazy scraps that keep piling up! Our goal is to inspire you to go through your stash and create! If you would like to join this team you are welcome to share what you have too with new themes, challenges and more every month. Just contact Robin Scott or Lissa Marie on our blogs or on Facebook, if you are interested in joining our Scraps to Treasure Team too!
If you have stumbled upon this hop, and would love to start from the beginning, our host this month is Robin Lane from Create-a-latte  If you just came from Creations with Kathryn you  are well on your way through the hop.

Fancy Fold Cards is the theme today, how fun and different then the ordinary card, this is the fancy fold I chose to make to inspire you!

Today I am bringing you a card fold I had never tried before.  It is called a SWING CARD.  I found a tutorial for it here: http://youtu.be/r2nm8_Nex4A.

This will be a birthday card for my husband's 50th!  Although he prefers black and yellow (on anything and everything) because we make our projects from scraps I didn't have enough craps in coordinating black and yellow so he will have to be happy with this card!

All my papers are from CTMH.  They are left over from a scrapbook page I had made.  The collection is called Stella.  Papers are inked in CTMH Lagoon.

You next stop on this inspiration hop is Jearise

I hope you have enjoyed my project today, enough to leave a little love through commenting. Our host is having a giveaway and a variety of blogs may be offering some blog candy as well, they all have their own wishes for you to win on their own blog, so don't forget to read the rules for each crafter has different requirements if they are offering any extra’s.

Thank you for stopping by, I would love to hear what you think of my fancy fold card!

KKC April Blog Hop

What could be more fun than decorating? Isn’t that what we all do in some form whether  it is our photos or projects..
This month as you can see the Krazy Crafting Crew has gotten together and made inspiring refrigerator magnets!
We all hope you find a little inspiration along the way today
Magnets can be done so many different ways… the sky is the limit!
Our hostess today is Cicily at pink dalmations scrapbooker

If you have already been on the hop, and have arrived from Two Chicks and a Cricut, you are in the right place!
If not please start where all great things begin…http://pinkdalmationscrapper.blogspot.com

For my project this month I decided to make something I knew I would use quite alot.  My 'fridge magnets are also bag clips.  This way I can store them on my refridgerator and I will always know where one is!  I went to Dollar Tree (my all time favorite  store lol) and picked up this set of bag clips.  I then used vinyl and some punches to add a little flair.

They can double has holders for photos or notes that I want to show off

This is a very simple process, all I had to do was get some sticky magnet material,  (but wait of course I
had that in my stash already).  Stuck the magnets to the back of the decorated clips and tada my $1
clips looked wonderful!

I'm so glad you keep coming and visiting us each month, thank you!

Your next stop is Robin at Create A Latte

Thanks so much for hopping with us!

Just some stuff I've been working on

So I know I have only been posting about once a month for a regular team I'm on, but that doesn't mean I haven't been busy crafting other things.  So I thought I'd share a few things I just made for myself.

This is our water cooler.  I made this vinyl sticker
with free vinyl from Oracle

A ball cap for my husband, didn't really like how this
turned out, was way to hard to press with an iron

A couple of the vinyl wall decor I made for the grandkids' play room

On the side of my Keurig coffee maker

A t-shirt (broke down and bought a heat press) for my DIL

Silly gift for my boss who got an infection
in his finger after he got a simple cut

Vinyled some bucket to hold candy for my grandsons' football
team

Everything here is done on my Silhouette Cameo and with vinyl.  I've got tons more to show you and will in the next few days.  I've been crafting away and because it was for me and not for a scheduled hop I guess I just didn't think to post it up.  But now that there is a group silhouette Pinterest board for a group I am part of on Facebook I will be posting more "just because" projects!

If you want any more information on any of these projects just leave me a comment and a way to respond back!

Thanks for stopping by and happy scrappin!

Krazy Crafting Crew March Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to Krazy Crafting Crew's monthly hop!  This month we are bringing you frames - altered and spiced up!  Just perfect for redecorating for spring.  This month our hostess is Robin at Scrap and Chat, if you didn't get here by way of Robin's blog please go back so you don't miss any of the fabulous projects this month and to be eligible for the SSS give-a-way.

So here is my 'altered frame'...

This is a floating frame, meaning there are two pieces of glass
with nothing in between. Everything is made with vinyl.  The tree with my
family names is on the back glass, and the words "Our Family"
are on the front piece of glass. The names are kind of hard to see
in the picture, but they are on both sides of the tree
on most of the branches.

It will eventually find it's home here on my entryway wall, for this picture
I just replaced a frame I had up there, so the placement is way off, but
I wanted to show you the general idea.  I actually need a ladder to re-arrange
all these photos and I didn't have time to get that accomplished yet.

Here is how I created this masterpiece!  Using the silhouette design studio software
I simply laid everything out.  I did a copy paste of the tree over itself so I could move
the tree with the names off the mat to cut and still have the exact
placement of the names even though I needed to cut the tree
without the names on it also.  "Our Family" was made by doing an offset of the original words to make
a small shadow or base layer so that I could cut it it two colors.

I hope you enjoyed my frame, I really enjoyed sharing it with you.  Remember to comment on all the blogs today to be eligible to win our group's blog candy.

Our monthly sponsored blog candy is from Scrapbook Stamp Society!

They are giving away 3 sets of stamps to one lucky winner that comments on all blogs
