Krazy Crafting Crew July Blog Hop

Welcome to the July edition of the Krazy Crafting Crew blog hop:  Summer Fun!  never heard of the Krazy Crafting Crew?  Well you can find out who we are by visiting us here.  If you have joined me from Jamie Lindstrom Designs you are headed in the right direction, if not you must surely start from the beginning with this month's hostess LissaMarie at

This is a two day hop and tomorrow will bring all new projects dedicated to having fun this summer.  For my project today I have made a two page scrapbook layout using piecings from Paper Piecings by Nikki.  My piecings are from the Independence Day set.  I have only used a few of the patterns that come with this totally adorable set, check the PPbN site out to see what the other patterns look like!

I used white glitter paper and blue metallic paper on this layout to give it that
shiny firework look

Here is a close up of the liberty hat with the bears. These bear patterns are also perfect
to use as "tear bears" with mulberry paper

the left page

the right page - I wrote the words "freedom" & "Liberty" on these adorable
chalk board clothespins and simply clipped them to the piecings

I hope you have enjoyed my project for today, I am also entering my layout in the July challenge at http://www.ahomespunaffair.blogspot.com/ for their red, white & blue challenge! Make sure you follow on with the hop by visiting the rest of the Krazy Crafting Crew, Robin at Scrap and Chat is next!  Make sure you come back tomorrow for all new projects.  And if you are a follower and leave me a comment on how to contact you, you can win some awesome blog candy......

Such a cute and patriotic layout that you make me want to stand at my computer and sing the Star Spangled Banner. The shiny paper really brings it all together.
