Pirate placemats! They must love them! Great idea!

Ahoy! buckos and welcome t' t' International Talk Like a Pirate Day blog hop! This hop be bein' hosted by t' infamous Gill McCall. If you be hoppin' and just came from Corri’s site you’re headed in t' starboard direction. If you just stopped by t' visit me you will want t' start from t' beginnin' o' this spectacular hop t' view all t' great treaayes it holds Gill."

"For me stop I have made two projects. I just love pirates (Captain Jack Sparrow and all) and all thin's piratey (you know grog LOL). me first project be a pirate placemat. I had decided t' make these for me grandsons and even had them all designed on me Gypsy" . But then I went t' t' Scrapbook Expo and found Paper Wizards. They had these fantastic pirate laser cuts. I had never heard o' laser cuts before and was so impressed with t' precision that I bought t' pirate ship and t' pirates logo t' use on t' placemats."

"T' placemat be 9 x 13 cardboard painted white. I then stamped and Glimmer Misted it in various shades o' blue and denim. T' name be cut from Rock Princess at 1 ¾ and then again at 1 1/2 . It isn’t a true shadow, I cut t' letters down t' make them fit better."

I then covered t' placemat in laminate and pressed it between books for a few days t' smooth everythin' out."

"I then decided t' make a Post it note holder out o' t' skull and crossbones Cricut cut on t' Gypsy Wanderin's cart. I cut t' skull at 6”. I then inked t' edges in black and bound t' fore and aft covers together with binder rin's."

"T' inside o' t' skull be covered with paper from t' lads Live t' Rock paperstack from t' Paper Studio. I also inked slightly around t' inside paper for a dirty look"

Ye next port is Lisa

"I hope you enjoyed your visit t' me galley! Now on t' t' blog booty. Just leave a comment and stop aft here on Wednesday 9/21/11 t' see if you’ve won!"
