Hey everyone I have found the most entertaining blog, it's called Paper Craft Island. It is a challenge blog with a B I G twist. You have to be picked to get onto the island and then by participating in challenges you get voted off the island or win immunity from "tribal council" if you participate in immunity challenges and everyone out in bloggyland is on the tribal council! Everything is completely anonymous so no hurt feelings! There are also "reward" challenges for those of us who aren't "stranded" on the island and today I am playing along with that reward challenge.
The reward challenge this week is to make a birthday card for a little girl who is stranded on the island. Here is my card that I am entering....
Paper is just from my scraps stash, ribbon is from 3 Girl Jam, Tinkerbell is from EK Success colored up with CTMH markers. The sentiment is also from CTMH from the June stamp of the month set Life is tweet! I used Stardust stickles on Tink's wings and embossed the green mat with the birds & swirls folder.
I hope you enjoyed my entry. Thanks for stopping by and happy scrappin!

Campin' Crazy S'Mores birthday card
Paper Piecings by Nikki design team post! Today is my grandson Anthony's 6th birthday and I wanted to share the birthday card I made for him using PPbN Campin' Crazy pattern set. Here is the complete set:
I used the S'mores face to make this birthday card. I sized the pieces to about 4 1/2" so they would fit perfectly on the front of the card. I also put him on an Action Wobble so he would have a little swing to him, what 6year old wouldn't love a bouncing S'mores??? The sentiment is from My Creative Time "you had me at chocolate"!

Amy Jo's Birthday Bash
Welcome to Amy Jo's Birthday Bash Blog hop. Today we celebrate the birthday of one of our wonderful crafty friends Amy Jo of http://lv2scrapandfibrofacts.blogspot.com. This is where you should have started the hop. This line up is full of love, fun and fantastic projects! If you are coming for the lovableAshley's blog then you are heading in the right direction
AmyJo has alot of loves in her life, so you will be seeing some very different projects.
For my project I made a birthday card. One of the things Amy Jo loves is moose, (is that plural or singular? he-he) that's right! So I found this adorable moose cut on the Campin' Critters Cricut cartridge.
The card base is premade, something I picked up in a pack probably from Michael's. The background paper is from a monthly kit I got from Above Rubies Studio. I embossed Kraft cardstock with the dots folder and lightly inked it with Versa magic red brick ink. I then used bakers twine around the center and pop dotted the little moose!. The happy birthday sentiment is heat embossed, also with brick.
Here is the inside of the card |
As a thank you for visiting I am offering up some blog candy................
Would love for you to be a follower so I can break the 300 mark, but if not, please still leave contact information in case you win!

Paper Piecings by Nikki DT Posting
Hi everyone, today I am showing you a card I made with two different PPBN sets. The Cuddly Cupids pattern set and the Cute as a Bug Girl set. You can get both of these sets here. Now I have to say that this card didn't start out like this. I had other plans and well, you know how that goes. I used Celebration Tracker Kraft stack from My Minds Eye and made an envelope. Well the envelope was a little to large for my original idea so I didn't tape the sides down, instead I made it into a folding card.
All in all it still turned out pretty cute, I think that's mostly because of the great images from Nikki! Don't forget to stop by the PPBN store to see all the great images there!
Thanks for stopping by and happy scrappin'
This bear is from the Cuddly Cupids set. I embossed Happy Birthday and sanded it a little |
Inside the card are bug images from the Cute as a bug set |

Double fold Birthday Card
Wow, I actually made something that wasn't pink, wedding related or for my daughter!! How liberating LOL
I needed to make a birthday card for my father-in-law. I saw the birthday cake cut on the Cricut Celebrations cartridge and really liked the image so I decided to go with it! This is an adorable fold for a card. I've seen it called the Tri-fold, the double fold and even the joy fold. Don't know who originated it but it's always been called something different LOL.
The paper is all from the Party Stack from My Mind's eye and I was able to get all the cuts from scrap paper I still had from other projects.
This is really an easy card to make and it always turns out soo cute. Here's the recipe:
Starting with the left side of the card:
base cut: 4 1/2 x 7 3/4 scored at 2 1/4 and fold in
layers are cut: 3 3/4 x 5 1/4
flaps are both 2 x 4
The right side of the card:
base cut: 3 1/2 x 7 1/4 scored at 4" and folded in
layers are cut 3 1/2 x 3 3/4 front and back
center section inside is 3 3 1/4
Thanks for stopping by and happy scrappin!

Boogity Boogity NASCAR bloghop Day 1
Gentlemen & ladies start your engines!!!! It's time to go hopping for this NASCAR hop!!! Yep it's the championship weekend and we're here to help the winner celebrate!! If you happened to visit me and want to start at the pole position for this high speed hop go here: Barbara!! even if you aren't a NASCAR fan you still don't want to miss these great projects!!
This is a two day hop --NASCAR runs for two days -- Not literally, lol there are two races one in each division...but if you are a NASCAR fan you know this, and if you aren't I'm not going to bore you will all the details. Just an FYI here too, I am lucky enough to have a NASCAR track in my home town!! Chicagoland Speedway...which is NOT in Chicago LOL, but in my hometown, Joliet. Okay, I'm not bitter that they wouldn't call it the Crossroads Raceway, or Prison City Speedway (yeah I would have accepted that much better then Chicagoland, just sayin')...ok it's been 10 years I need to get over it--I still haven't accepted Sprint Cup or Nationwide either!!
For my project today I made a card. I will probably use this for a birthday some time down the road. This is just a basic A2 and I embellished it with stickers from the Paper studio
---How about some marbles, er blog candy too??? All you need to do is leave a comment both days, - tomorrow is a different project - with a way for me to contact you. Would love you to be a follower also.
Some Cars stickers from EK Success and other embellies from Life's little Occasions |
And remember, Barbara is offering a great Cricut cartridge to one winner, all you need to do is follow her and make sure you leave a comment on each blog in the lineup!!
Thanks for stopping by and let's crank it up with your next stop.....Debbie

Diamond Fold Birthday Card
Hello all my crafty friends thanks for stopping by! Today I have a Diamond Fold card to share. Creations with Christina has a tutorial on her blog and it was so interesting that I had to immediately try it. Go to her blog for some very detailed instructions on how to make this.
Basic instructions are to start with a 4 x 12 piece of cardstock |
Score at 2",4",8"&10" make a mark at 6" and score from that point to the first score line on both ends you then flip your paper and score again from the 6" line to the first score line on both ends |
This card isn't quite finished, I want to add a little something on the inside flaps. It will be for my oldest grandson's birthday. He is turning 11. I'm just not sure what I want to add yet. If I change it at all I will post an updated picture.

Birthday card
My youngest grandson turned Two!!!! What a crazy age, they are adorable and demons at the same time. You laugh at them while they're misbehaving just because they do it so adorably!! Andrew is obsessed with Mickey Mouse and 'toodles'!! The only Mickey Mouse cartridge I have is the Mickey Font, but it does have a Mickey head on it, so that's what I used. I put Mickey on an Action Wobble and he loved it, more then his presents I think. This was a hard cut actually. The white for the eyes never would cut well so I tried using my white gel pen to make the white larger, but it didn't really work that well, thank goodness he's only two and he only cared that Mickey wobbled and had ears!! can't tell you what papers I used because they were all from my scrap bin (finally using those).
Thanks for looking and happy scrapping!!
The "2" is also cut from Mickey Font |

Quick birthday cards
Hi all happy Tuesday, the count down to the Holiday weekend has started!!! Today I have two quick and simple birthday cards. My daughter needed two cards for the twins of friends who were turning two, and she needed them in 30 minutes because they were leaving for the party. Gotta love it!! I used the Birthday Bash cartridge and cut the card feature at 6", which made a 3 x 3 card. The bird was cut at 3 1/2", along with the balloon, I didn't cut the string but used a piece of twine instead and placed it on an Action Wobble. I added googly eyes because little kids always love them. The "2" was cut at 1 1/2 ".
The seal was cut at 3 1/2". At this size the eyes, nose and mouth didn't cut well, so I used googly eyes and drew the mouth and nose in. I used coordinating paper from the Birthday Extravaganza paperstack by The Paper Studio, along with the candles for the second card. I simply trimmed out two candles and layered them behind the number 2. I just alternated the two patterns to give the cards a uniform but separate look.

Here is a birthday card I made using Birthday Bash, the Polka Dots embossing folder and scraps from my scrap box.
The banner is cut from Birthday Bash. It is on page 39. I cut the little bird off the top. The bird is adorable but I didn't want him for this card. I used my Gypsy and made each pennant about 1 1/2" wide. Because the banner is one piece I had to cut it four times and then cut the pennants apart.
I emobssed the white background with the Polka Dots folder and used shades of green and orange to stamp the sentiment. The little buttons are probably from Spare Parts, but I had already taken them out of the packaging a long time ago so I can't really say for sure. I used the extra pennant pieces to decorate the envelope.
I had seen a card like this on the Splitcoast stampers site and thought it was adorable.

Spinner Card
Here is a spinner card I made for my grandson's 5th birthday. Being overly obsessed with sharks I knew I had to make him a card with a shark on it and this spinner card was the perfect choice. I knew he would only be interested in the moving shark so that is the only detail I put on the card. I used Birthday Bash to cut the shark and the "5". He loved the card and we made up games with the rolling shark, who could get it to stop 1/2 way, upside down, etc. !!

Cricut Cardz Challenge #60
At the Cricut Cardz Challenge this week we need to make a masculine valentine card. You may not think this is too masculine, but I saw the chick and thought of a t-shirt my 5 year old grandson wears and decided to make this card for him. The sentiment is on a wobble and because of the oversize heart it wobbles alot!...hope you like it, TFL and happy scrapping.

MPS Birthday Challenge
For Robyn's 38th Birthday (The Pink Stamper) she offered up a challenge to make any birthday project. originally I was thinking about a birthday hat, but when I stumbled upon the tutorial for making a windshield wiper card I just had to try it. This is the cutest card ever. Unfortunately my creative (?) mind didn't lead me towards any Cricut cuts, I stamped the entire thing, which was pretty fun because I am NOT a stamper but having some garage sale find birthday stamps I decided I would use them. The cupcakes are both mounted on Action Wobbles (so much fun!). Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy.

CardzTV challenge
Mary at Cardztv is having a challenge where you have to make something, anything, with a cupcake on it. I made this cupcake card. I used my Gypsy and welded the cupcake shadow from the Critters cartridge into a card. I then embossed the frosting with the swirls folder, stickled the cherry and added some gems for extra glitz!
thanks for looking.

Throwback Thursday challenge #93
This is a card for my grandson's 10th birthday. The challenge at Creative Time for Me was to use any
older cartridge. Well the skateboard hanging in the center is from Everyday paper dolls, the first cartridge I ever bought. This is a tri-folder or shutter fold card. It's very busy because, after all my grandson is 10 now (a 'tween) and the card had to be 'cool'!
Thanks for looking
