Imagine, E2, Mini or CCR Day at My Cricut Craftroom

Well it's Monday again and you know what that means!  That's right I have to show another project using my new Imagine.  If you didn't visit last week I am a member of the My Cricut Craftroom  design team and on Monday's the theme is to use either the Imagine, E2, Mini or the Cricut Craftroom.  Because I had just gotten the Imagine at Christmas I decided I was going to do a month of Monday's using the Imagine to learn how to use it.  One thing I did find out is that my Imagine isn't reading regular content cartridges so I will have to call Provocraft to get that resolved because the Imagine is designed to use both Imagine special cartridges and ALL the others, that's right double the fun! Once I get that resolved the skies the limit!!  (Did you get through all that?) So on with my project.....

My daughter and I had taken three of the grandkids to the mall and we all piled into one of those tiny photo booths really designed for teenage girls.  We had a blast trying to get everyone in the picture.  I knew I had to keep this displayed on the 'fridge with all the other pics.....that's me all squished in the back LOL.

This was really simple to make and turned out really cute.  I used the Imagine More cartridge that came with the machine, as I only have 3 carts so far.  I picked out this stretched  frame.  The original background of this frame was actually green, but I liked the playful look of the squares so I changed the color.  It cuts in 5 layers, if you want it layered, which I did.  So simple to just ink the edges, and tape it all together.

I then used an old magnetic calendar, you know the ones you get in the mail all the time.. I always keep these  and simply cut it into strips and used tacky tape to attach it to the frame.

I hope you like my simple little project, can't wait to learn so much more with this machine.  To see more projects like mine please visit My Cricut Craft Room and check out the DT sister's projects!!

Liz this is great! I love how easy it is to "whip" up a project. No more spending hours searching for coordinating paper, lol. Great hint to use all those old magnets too. TFS~Mary M
