ABC's what I have finished so far...

Well I've come to the end of what I have finished in the album.  I can't wait to start again, but Memorial Day is here and we are camping, so it will have to wait until next week!  Enjoy your holiday everyone, hope the weather cooperates for whatever you have planned.

Using my Cricut now!  Everyday Paper Dolls was the first cartridge I bought and used it alot.  It is still my go to cartridge when I am stuck

The letter "I" and even I can tell how much more creative my thinking has become from blog hopping!
I wanted to stick with the original idea of the book so I simply used letters from a kit instead of cutting them with my Cricut.

I think this string of letters is adorable and I even added dimensionals to the journaling tag.  Wow!  LOL

Creative Memories Scrapbook Kit

Here are a few more page layouts I did using a kit I bought several years ago from Creative Memories.  Haven't bought anything since unfortunately because I found my Cricut (LOL) and the happiness of scrapbook stores!!

WOW I found matting photos and layering now!  LOL  It's fun to go back through old layouts to see how they progress and how new techniques have come into my scrapping.

I remember being ecstatic that I layered these letters over each other to create a shadow. I thought I was on to something no one else knew about LOL!!  The individual letters were from a kit my sister had sent me a few years before.
Oh the joy when you finally figure out how to layer a Cricut cut (remember those first attempts at your Cricut??!!)
I totally did not get this until I attended a Cricut class given by the mother of someone I work with.  But oh boy, once I totally understood that little handbook I was on a roll!!

Scrapbook C and D

As a family we go camping a lot, like almost every weekend starting in April and closing up in October.
"C" was a very easy letter.  This paper from Creative Memories is adorable. The zigzag border down the side came that way. It is double sided paper to make matching so easy.

The wiggles at the top and bottom of this page were cut from the coordinating paper using a template from Creative Memories.

I used an EK Success photo border punch for each of these photos.

ABC's scrapbook album

When I first started working on this book I was so excited, but as each letter progressed I was having a hard time thinking of things for each letter.  It was also because summer and other family activities got in the way of my weekly get together with friends for our scrap night and slowly the book found it's way onto the shelf not even half done.

Here are a few more pictures of some of the pages I had done some time ago.
The journaling tag in the lower right was done using a program called "Journalling Genie".  I really didn't like my handwriting and decided to try this software.  As time has gone on I don't feel that way anymore and haven't used the program in quite awhile

When my grandson was very young he was addicted to balloons.  He would rather get a balloon as a prize then anything else.  I remember this birthday he got a power wheels and didn't look twice at it, all he wanted was the baloons!

When I journaled this page I used a balloon shaped tag. I was so proud that I thought to use a ribbon on the tag as the string LOL

Back to scrapbooking!!

I've been neglecting my scrapbooking it seems like forever.  I had started a ABC's book for 2nd grandson and put it aside for over a year now.  I got started on this book because I went to a Creative Memories party and fell in love with this kit. It's called "Little Boy" and came with stickers, paper, journalling tags, etc.   I bought the 12x12 kit, because that is what I was used to making, but then I bought an 8x8 album for my 3rd grandson and really liked that size for doing single photos.  I still can't decide which I like better so I do both LOL.  I will be posting what I have finished over the next few days.  Hope you enjoy looking.

These are the letter stickers, they came in both upper and lower case in all boy muted colors

so far I used the letter at the beginning of each word

This one is "Darling" I cut the rest of the letters with my Cricut and placed a photo in the 'A'

Easter Napkin Rings

I didn't get a chance to post the napkin rings that my daughter and I made for Easter this year.  My daughter had Easter at her house so her family wouldn't need to go between two homes this year.  We had a blast.  We made these napkin rings from toilet paper rolls we cut at 1" each, covered with paper and then using Create a Critter and Easter 2010 we cut images and attached them to the rings.  My daughter then wrapped the silverware in green, purple and yellow napkins and placed them all in a basket.  It looked like a spring bouquet!  I don't have a picture of the basket, but is a picture some of the napkin rings we made.

She's a princess scrapbook page

My daughter was going through my latest scrapbook album and commented that she wasn't in it, well actually she was about 7 times but there wasn't a page just for her.  Being the only daughter she has always been treated like a princess and I guess even though she is a mom now, she still wants me to treat her like a princess, my fault, because we ALL still do almost 30 years later LOL!!  So I quickly made up this scrapbook page using the Once Upon a Time paper pad by either DCWV or The Paper Studio (sorry I lost the cover)and Rock Princess.  Hopefully this will hold her over for a little while!!

Love this paper stack it makes layouts simple!

This is my first attempt at Glitter mist on white flowers. I was very happy with the end result

Definately our Diva!  LOL

Happy Birthday to me!! LOL

Well I hit the big Hawaii 5-0 this year.  Have to say it wasn't as hard as I thought.  Nothing like when I turned 40 and went into despression and panic for weeks before hand.  Other then actually saying the number outloud (lol) it isn't that bad, I mean my AARP application came in the mail and all!!

But I recieved some of the best gifts and cards from my family and friends I just had to share them with you!!

My darling husband got me my coveted GREEN rolling chair and as an added surprise (besides the party he threw me) he also got me this beautiful colorful chest!!
When I got to work friends had decorated our lunch room with this Happy 50th Birthday banner!  I only took a photo of the center so you could see the detail in the letters, I'm sure you know the rest says Happy Birthday LOL
Here are a few cards made by my friends Shari, Gloria and a mother's day card made by my daughter.
Aren't they incredible!!!

And for the grand finale.......A personalized, walking advertisment T-Shirt for my blog!!!!
My very creative friend Shari made this for me.  I was blown away, I just had to share this with everyone!!

Here is the back of the T-shirt
So any of you going to Chicago CHA this summer you'll know me, I'll be advertising myself!!!!

A huge thank you to my husband, my children, my grandkids and my fantastic friends for a wonderful Mother's Day/Birthday weekend!!!!!

Thanks for visiting and happy scrapping!!
